1966
Torcitura di Domaso
was founded
In Domaso on the banks of Upper Lake Como, Luigi Valsecchi revived a silk twisting plant that was being closed.
The ’70s and ’80s
The silk
Torcitura di Domaso consolidated its position in the preparation and twisting of silk and continuous yarns, becoming a benchmark for the entire silk district on Lake Como.
The '90s
New energy
The arrival of Mario Valsecchi gave the business new energy and new drive, expanding its horizons.
At the end of the 1990s, Andrea Valsecchi also joined the company.
2000
Diversification
These have been the years of diversification: new materials were introduced, including lamé, in a whole range of colors and shades.
During this period, the Silkest production unit in Romania came into being, a wholly controlled subsidiary of TDD, to fight the growing aggression from Chinese spun yarns.

Patterned treads
The ISY, Italian Special Yarn, brand was established that identifies the line of patterned yarns for the knitwear industry.
2015
Pitti filati
Torcitura di Domaso debuted at Pitti Immagine with its first summer collection of patterned yarns.
2018
Spinning
Performance spinning began in Tuscany, in Montemurlo.
TODAY
Today, ISY by Torcitura di Domaso is even more committed to the research and development of new concepts, creating articles that are able to satisfy the current market needs in terms of environmental protection, thanks to a specialized and dynamic team.
In June 2023 the ISYDE project was born, combining enterprise and creativity by giving young artists the opportunity to exhibit their works on the stand at Pitti Filati, creating a common thread between art and fashion.
