Our concrete commitment to certified sustainability
The corporate intentions on the subject of sustainability therefore want to be an integral part of the strategic decisions of Torcitura di Domaso, with the aim of introducing raw materials with LOWER ENVIRONMENTAL and SOCIAL IMPACT.
The company decided to obtain GOTS certification for the production of yarns containing raw material of biological origin, GRS for the production of yarns containing certified material, FSC for the use of artificial cellulosic fibers deriving from a management sustainable forestry, OCS with which we ensure the content of natural fibers from organic farming, RWS and RMS we ensure that the wool comes from responsibly managed farms. Finally, we also concentrate our efforts to address the issue of the assessment and management of the risk deriving from the use of chemical products in a systemic way, and for this reason we have adopted the Chemical Management Protocol 4sustainability®, which implements the MRSL with a structured method. ZDHC.
This certification allows us to guarantee consumers that our organic products are obtained in compliance with strict environmental and social criteria at all levels of production up to the labeling of the finished product.
This certification guarantees that the raw material used to make a wood or paper product comes from forests where strict environmental, social and economic standards are respected.
The GRS allows the certification of products obtained from recycled materials, promoting responsible and sustainable development in the textile sector. It enhances the importance of recycling by favoring the reduction of resource consumption, and also guarantees the traceability of recycled materials and the quantity present in the product.
Our company applies the 4sustainability® Chemical Management Protocol for the elimination of toxic and harmful substances in production processes through the MRSL ZDHC.
We plan to issue an environmental declaration, which ensures the content of natural fibers from organic farming in textile products.
With the RWS and RMS certifications we issue environmental declarations which ensure that the wool comes from responsibly managed farms.
